Description: SARKISYAN EDWARD GEVORGI also Sargsyan Eduard (1908, Gyumishkhane in Turkey - 1990 Yerevan, Armenia), Soviet Armenian, listed. Graduated Yerevan's Geghard College in 1927, studied art at Moscow's Fine Art Institute from 1929 till 1934, in 1961 was honored by the merited artist of Armenia, the highest Soviet Armenia state title for that time. He had his one man show in 1970 in Yerevan. A villager woman with the traditional Armenian Khnotzi by Edward Sargsyan, comes from the early 1960s, is watercolor on paper with tears on the edges, measures almost 17" x 12" inches.
