Description: Ruger Mark Series Red Dot Mount Plate For Shield RMS RMSC SMS footprint style Optics Adapter Designed to be a low profile and rearward seated mounting option for red dot sight on the Ruger Mark series (I, II, III, IV & 22/45) of pistols. The plate allows as rearward mounting of the sight as possible while not interfering with the factory iron sights for the best balance and recoil management. The mount plate was designed to use screws that came with the Holosun 407/507K (and likely all Shield RMS, SMS, and RMSc style sights, however, it is possible some other sights may have came with different screws requiring you to acquire new screws) from the factory (if you misplaced these screws or don’t have them for whatever reason read the last paragraph for help on that matter). The mount plate is as minimalistic as possible for lowest possible height over bore, snag resistance, and rigidity. The Mount Plate is made from a lightweight shock and heat resistant polymer with installed threaded nut inserts that will hold zero under harsh firing conditions. Manufactured on a glass surface to ensure the top of the mount plate is flat and true for interfacing with the bottom of the sight. The mount plate requires that your firearm has the scope mount holes already in your receiver. If you are not sure if your firearm has this please see the photos to see where the screws are located that mount the mount plate to the receiver. If you are not sure feel free to ask as I can help you to find out if your firearm will work with this mount plate. Torque specs are 10inlb for the plate to the receiver and 12inlb for the sight to the mount plate, which are standard torque specs for the Ruger scope mount screws and sight respectively. If you do not have a torque wrench then the bolts should be lightly snug plus a 1/4 turn. Do NOT over-tighten the bolts as that could cause stripping of threads in the receiver, broken bolts, and or a damaged sight. The mount plate will hold zero at these torque settings and additional torque can cause damage to the receiver, sight, and or mount plate. No returns will be accepted for over torqued screws and I will not and cannot be held responsible for damage caused to anything from over torquing of the screws. Mount plate with installed threaded nut inserts and screws to mount the plate to the receiver only! Sight(s), sight mounting screws, and the firearm are NOT included and are shown in photos for illustration purposes only.
