VTG 1950s CEIL CHAPMAN Silk Chiffon DRAPED CORAL PINK COCKTAIL DRESS *Super Tiny

Description: Late 1950s Ceil Chapman Coral Silk Chiffon Draped Cocktail Dress with Dropped Waist. Swagged across the hips with a pleated draped belt. Boned Stays run the length of the bodice thru the waistline, Full rear metal zipper. This dress was taken up/hand-basted at the hemline, the base of the dress is Silk Crepe Georgette, you can let the hem down an additional 1 1/2" (in which case it will peak out a bit below the tulip hem), short rear kick pleat. Dress is in Very Good Overall condition, 1 underarm has a faint shadow (see pic, I’ve highlighted it), estate-direct, I have not dry-cleaned it. There is a nude Silk Lining at the upper bodice which exhibits intermittent shredding, this is concealed by the "Blouson” of coral silk at rear upper bodice, small 3/8" long tear along the binding edging of the rear upper neckline (pic). Measures Chest 32", Waist 24", Hip 32" (Yes, this small), Length shoulder to hem 37 1/2". I have priced the dress reflective of both condition, and the tiny size. There will not be anything to speak of to let out at the interior seams, and it appears the hips may have been taken in at some point, I don't sew so it's tough for me to confirm this. The color of this dress was extremely tough to get a true read on, view the close up of me holding it in hand in sunlight for the most accurate depiction of the coral color.
